COVID Safe FAQs

  • The Beergarden Trivia festival is committed to ensuring a safe event experience for all guests and will be delivered under a Qld Health approved COVID Safe event plan. Please view our COVID Safe event information here
  • If changed restrictions mean that the festival cannot go ahead on the scheduled date, we will either postpone or cancel the festival. In this case, your tickets will either be valid for the new date or refunded in line with our refund and exchange policy which you can view here.
  • The Beergarden Trivia festival is a purpose designed and built COVID Safe festival. Our team has worked hard to create a cracking festival experience which is inherently COVID Safe.
  • We ask you to acknowledge your role in helping to successfully carry out the safety measures as detailed in our COVID Safe event information here.
  • We encourage the download and use of the Australian Government’s COVIDSafe App. More info can be found here.
  • There are 2 limited capacity sessions per day – a day session and a night session. Each session is 4 hrs long.
  • You and your trivia teammates must remain seated at your trivia team’s chosen beergarden table while at the festival, including when playing trivia, eating and drinking.
  • You can move around the festival site to buy food or drink and use the amenities.
  • Beergarden tables are first come, first served, so best to get there early to secure your trivia team’s table for the duration of the session.
  • One table will seat 8 adults comfortably. A squeezy 10 adults will fit, but just make sure you all get along before taking your seats within your trivia team.
  • Your trivia team mates, ie your household or social group in which you’re attending the festival. You are not required to maintain 1.5m social distance within your group
  • However, you and your trivia team are required to maintain 1.5m social distance from other attendees and trivia teams as well as staff and crew.
  • We’ve made it easy for you to social distance – just stay at your trivia team’s table and you’re done!

Trivia FAQ

A live host will guide you and your trivia team through each trivia round, while you view and answer each question on your smart phone. Before the day, you’ll be asked to register your trivia team name, your trivia team captain and how many are in your trivia team. The maximum trivia team size is 10 as the Beergarden tables can seat no more!

Heck yeah! You’re competing for a major, money-can’t-buy extravaganza prize! *details to be announced per event. Not to mention other prizes along the way for things such as the best trivia team name, the best dressed trivia team and whatever else we can think of!

  • The maximum trivia team size is 10 as the Beergarden tables can seat no more!
  • Also worth noting is that only 1 trivia team can sit per Beergarden table, no matter how small the trivia team is. One table will seat 8 adults comfortably. A squeezy 10 adults will fit, but just make sure you all get along before taking your seats.
  • We strongly encourage you to buy tickets for your whole trivia team at time of purchase to secure the best price as well as make sure all your trivia team members get tickets.
  • All trivia team members can purchase tickets to the festival separately, however they must register as part of a trivia team.
  • To ensure the festival is as COVID Safe as it can be, you can ONLY sit with your trivia team members. To help, please arrive with your entire trivia team so you can be seated quickly.

If your festival location gets enough registrations to go ahead, you will be emailed a link to fill out your trivia team’s information including trivia team captain, trivia team name and how many people are in your trivia team.

No need for pen and paper in this mega quiz, engage directly with the hosts and other trivia teams through your smart phone for an immersive trivia experience. Please ensure your📱 is 💯 charged and ready.

You bet your trivia loving bum there’s a theme! The theme will vary from location to location and will be announced as the festival nears. But get excited because we are hard at work creating fun immersive themes that will come alive on site and give you the opportunity to dress up and be a part of it all!

And did we mention there will be prizes for best dressed according to the theme?!!?

Yes! In fact, we encourage you to! Come dressed in line with the theme or in a trivia team costume, the world is your oyster! Prizes will be handed out for best dressed trivia team and individual!

General Festival FAQs

Please arrive at least 30 mins before Trivia Session commences to secure your table as trivia team, and enjoy the food trucks, bars and music.

The Beergarden Trivia festival is an all ages festival.

Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian (18+)

As the festival is set in stunning outdoor venues, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses are essential to ensure you are safe in the sun. Like all outdoor events, Beergarden Trivia cannot control the weather – trust us, we have tried! Plans are in place to address severe or adverse weather conditions and if for any reason the festival cannot go ahead due to this reason, the festival may be postponed or cancelled, and your tickets will be exchanged to new dates or refunded in line with our refund and exchange policy here

  • The festival is 100% cashless with the simple tap-and-go Square payment system. Simply bring your credit or debit card to tap away at any of the food trucks or bars. Most card types are accepted including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
  • Outside food and beverages is prohibited. Rest assured we have an extensive offering of food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. No ID, no bar service in the licensed areas. See more on our Terms and Conditions of entry here

Parking options will depend on each venue. We will provide all parking and transport details on the specific festival information page.

Absolutely. A medical team will be on-site throughout the festival ready to go at a moment’s notice in an unlikely event of an injury.

No cloak room or lockers at this festival. Always leave unnecessary items or valuables at home or keep any possessions with you at your table. You are responsible for your own belongings and must not leave bags or possessions unattended at any time.

Smoking is not permitted in any area of the Beergarden Trivia festival site except for in designated smoking areas. Alcohol is not permitted to be taken into designated smoking areas.

Unfortunately, we can’t offer pass-outs. We wouldn’t want you to miss a trivia question and forfeit the round, plus there is plenty happening that you won’t want to miss out on.

Pets are awesome, but unfortunately not permitted unless they are registered assistance animals, in which case they are welcome.

  • Accessibility to all facilities for patrons with special needs is catered!. Most of the event sites are on level ground and is accessible on wheelchair. For any stairways, a wheelchair ramp is provisioned. All event seating is on table and bench sets which seat 8 adults comfortably or a squeezy 10 adults. There is ample room at the head of each table for wheelchairs, or alternatively and the benches can be shifted or removed to allow more room for special needs. Trained guide dogs or service dogs are welcome. Companion Cards accepted with appropriate government issued ID. Limited disability parking is available.

  • Group of 6 Admits: $25 per ticket
  • Group of 10 Admits: $25 per ticket
  • Junior Admit: FREE when accompanied adult or legal guardian (18+)

Groups of 6 and 10 receive a discount

Juniors 12 and under are free of charge. Choose the $0 Junior Admit price in ticket order.

Children between 13 and 17 years of age must hold their own admission ticket. Choose the Admit price in ticket order.

Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian (18+)

Companion Cards accepted with appropriate government issued ID

We recommend buying in advance to secure your tickets as table and session capacities are strictly limited.

All tickets for Beergarden Trivia purchased online, via phone or at outlets will be held back for delivery or collection until the event venue and date has been confirmed to go ahead – estimated ticket delivery is Early November 2020.

If you’ve put your $1 down registration towards a festival you will be charged the full ticket price Once that festival location goes ahead and your event tickets will be delivered as per your chosen delivery method (either Print-at-home ezyTicket or Mobile Ticket). If you do not receive your tickets by December 2nd, please visit the Ticketek Help page for support.

  • All bags must be smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. All bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper, backpacks (including backpack handbags and children’s backpacks) of any kind are not permitted into the event.

Ticket FAQs

Purchasing tickets can be done online via our official Beergarden Trivia website, or through our official ticketing partner Ticketek Australia either online, on the phone or at outlets.

Depending on online ticket sales, a box office may also be available on site to purchase tickets. If you have bought tickets to the festival through any other channels, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to enter the festival with those tickets.

Putting $1 down towards your desired festival location is your commitment and registration to attend the festival should it get enough support to go ahead.

When putting $1 down for your desired festival location, choose the number of tickets you want to purchase should the festival go ahead. You’ll be charged $1 per ticket you intend to purchase.

  • We recommend putting $1 down per person in your trivia team (up to 10 trivia team members) to get the best ticket price, should the festival go ahead.

A successful registration of $1/person does not guarantee a ticket unless your festival location goes ahead and you’re charged the full ticket price, less your $1 down registration

Your $1 down registration is not a ticket. Tickets will be allocated to a festival which received the minimum number of registrations required to go ahead. At that time, your credit card will be charged the full price of the ticket(s), less the dollar(s) down you committed to and an event ticket will be issued (subject to payment being approved).

The decision on which festivals will be confirmed first will take place no later than 31 October 2020. If your chosen festival location is successful you will be allocated a ticket and your credit card will be charged at this time, without prior notification of the transaction. Please ensure you have sufficient funds on your credit card for the number of dollar down registrations you completed.

  • If your credit card fails to process, your ticket(s) will be reallocated to waitlist registrations or if no waitlist exists, we will follow up with you to update your card details. If you need to update your credit card details please contact Ticketek on 132 849, please note you cannot update your credit card via your My Ticketek account online.

If your festival location does not get enough registrations to go ahead, you will be automatically allocated to the nearest proceeding festival location (within 50 kms). If no festival location proceeds near you, the $1 down registration will be refunded.

Beergarden Trivia will go ahead with each confirmed festival on the confirmed date and location, unless unforeseen circumstances arise around changed COVID-19 restrictions or adverse weather is forecast, you will be contacted about options for an exchange or refund.

Should you be unable to attend Beergarden Trivia due to personal circumstance, a refund or exchange may be available to you.

  • A Refund due to COVID-19 will be provided if
    • You are required to self-isolate or quarantine (and the festival falls within the isolation/quarantine period) due to:
      • being a confirmed case of COVID-19
      • having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
      • living in or having been in a high-risk area within Australia
      • having returned from overseas
    • You have COVID-19 symptoms, have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting test results (and the festival falls within the period of awaiting test results)
  • A Refund will not be provided if:
    • You are well and do not wish to attend a festival due to fears of exposure to COVID19
    • You are unwell and do not attend a festival (other than due to COVID-19 illness or symptoms)
    • You are from a group at a higher risk of COVID-19
    • You have a change of mind about attending the festival

If a refund is not available to you, an exchange for another Beergarden Trivia location and/or date may be available to you. Please contact us by email at hello@beergardentrivia.com.au to discuss your refund or exchange options.

Please note your $1 down registration is NOT available for refund should your chosen festival location not go ahead. The $1 down registration fee paid is retained to cover administration costs

Beergarden Trivia issues refunds and exchanges as required by law or under circumstances required by the Live Performance Australia code of practice for Event Ticketing.
